FAQ
đ WHEN DO YOU DROP NEW PIECES?
Honestly, whenever we feel like it! Our workflow is what it is, and thatâs erratic at best. (We aim for about every 6 weeks though.)
Things can move fast, so if something speaks to you⊠grab it before it disappears.
đ HOW DO I KNOW WHEN THE NEXT COLLECTION DROPS?
Check our Instagram for the most up-to-date info on new collections @moonbearjewels, and join our email list to get early access!
CAN I GET A CUSTOM PIECE?
We donât take custom orders â our workflow is all about freedom and flow.
CAN I RESERVE A PIECE THATâS COMING FOR A NEW COLLECTION?
Nope (sorry!)... BUT, if you join our email list, you can get an early access code to shop 30 minutes before everyone else! We email out early access codes around 9:00 AM MST on collection days.
â»ïž WILL THAT DESIGN I LOVED EVER RETURN?
Maybe! While most pieces are true one-offs, I do like to bring back fan-favorite designs here and there. Reach out and let us know your faves!
What is Gold Alchemia?
Gold Alchemia is a high-quality, gold-tone alloy thatâs made to last. It has the look of real gold, but itâs more affordable and more durable than gold-plated jewelry. Unlike brass, it wonât tarnish or turn your skin greenâbut the surface shine can fade or scratch over time, especially on rings and cuffs that get a lot of wear.
Itâs nickel-free, lead-free, and safe for most people with metal allergies.

đ§ DO YOU REPAIR JEWELRY?
We do not repair anything we did not make. No exceptions.
If there is a flaw in the craftsmanship of a piece, we will repair it for free.
We stand by the quality of our work and want you to love your Moon Bear Jewels for years to come.
If you purchased a high-end or fine jewelry piece (think: sterling silver, one-of-a-kind statement rings, etc.) and something unexpected happensâlike a stone loosening or a clasp failing due to a flaw in craftsmanshipâplease reach out. Weâre happy to make it right.
Because we sell a wide range of items, weâre not able to offer repairs on lower-cost or more delicate pieces like stretch bracelets or beaded earrings. These are priced with accessibility in mind and may naturally experience wear over time.
We appreciate your understanding as we focus our repair resources on the pieces that require specialized tools, techniques, and care.
If you're ever unsure whether your piece qualifies for repair, feel free to email us and weâll point you in the right direction.
HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY JEWELRY?
Store your jewelry in a dry place and avoid water, sweat, and products like lotions or perfume â especially with opals and turquoise.
Our Gold Alchemia pieces donât tarnish easily, but the shine can wear off your ring band or cuff from wear. Remember to take your jewelry off if you're moving furniture, etc.
Gold fill chain holds up WAY better than plated, but it will still fade if you donât take care of it.
Sterling silver will oxidize and tarnish naturally. This is easy to remove with a polishing cloth.
Treat your jewelry kindlyâdonât wear it in the shower, while sleeping, or while crushing it on your Peloton or a mountain trail. Handmade means one-of-a-kind, not indestructible.
WILL THIS TURN MY SKIN GREEN?
We use high-quality Sterling Silver, Gold Fill, and Gold Alchemiaânone of which are known for turning skin green. That said, everyoneâs body chemistry is different! Factors like sweat, skincare, and how you wear your pieces can affect this. If you have a metal allergy, itâs best to be mindful of how your skin reacts to different materials.
